As promised after the introductory walk in April, Beryl Plent and Mike Chitty will be offering further walks looking in more detail at particular parts of the Gateacre area. This one, on 22nd July starting at 1.45 and finishing about 3.30, will concentrate on Sandfield Road and Halewood Road. Please assemble by the Wilson Memorial Fountain on the corner of Grange Lane and Gateacre Brow.

HERITAGE OPEN DAYS
in Gateacre
On Saturday 8th September, GATEACRE CHAPEL,
Gateacre Brow, will be open to visitors from 10am-3pm.
On Saturday 15th September, ST STEPHEN'S CHURCH,
Belle Vale Road, will be open from 10.30am-4pm.
At each venue there will be a local history exhibition, and members of the congregation will be on hand to show visitors around.
The two events are part of LIVERPOOL HERITAGE OPEN MONTH which is an extended version of the national Heritage Open Days programme. Look out for the colour brochure giving full details of other openings, throughout September, in and around the city.
