OUR COACH TRIP TO WAKEFIELD
As briefly mentioned in our last Newsletter, this summer's coach outing - organised by the Wavertree Society, but with a pickup point in Gateacre village - is to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park on SATURDAY 28th JULY. Participants can choose between spending the day at the Sculpture Park or in the nearby city of Wakefield. We have a limited allocation of tickets available for Gateacre Society members, so if you want to go please follow the instructions in your printed Newsletter.

AN AMENDED DIARY DATE
The BIG HISTORY SHOW at the Western Approaches HQ Museum, Liverpool,
will now take place on Sat-Sun 29th-30th SEPTEMBER. Admission will be free of charge, and we hope to see you there.

PLANNING NEWS
Members may have noticed renovation work going on at Elmsvale House, alongside the 'cricket field' in Belle Vale Road. The new owners have submitted a planning application (ref. 18H/1343) to re-slate the roof, install UPVC sash windows, convert the coach house and build a single-storey extension, and are documenting their progress online at instagram.com/thetaleofelmsvale

To view the submitted drawings and other documents relating to Liverpool planning applications, visit the Liverpool Planning Explorer website
http://northgate.liverpool.gov.uk/PlanningExplorer17/GeneralSearch.aspx
and enter the relevant reference (e.g. 18H/1343) into the Application Number box. Then click on the 'Search' button. When details of the application appear, click on the application number - in the left-hand column - to reach the 'Details Page for Planning Application'. For a copy of the application form, drawings, etc., click on 'Related Documents' (at the bottom of the page). To view any of the PDF files listed, right-click on the Document Name and download/save the file in the usual way. To submit comments to the Liverpool City Council Planning Department, click on 'Add Comments Here' to the right of the 'Comments Until' date. Or you can email your comments to planningandbuildingcontrol@liverpool.gov.uk , making sure that you quote your name, your postal address and the Application Number.
