PLANNING NEWS
On 5th October the owner of the former Gorsey Cop/ Crying Tree pub in Grange Lane received planning permission (21F/1249) and listed building consent for the conversion works outlined in our June Newsletter. We hope it will not be too long before the work begins.
On 26th October an application (reference 21PT/2199) to erect a 20-metre high 5G phone mast in Belle Vale Road, outside the St Stephen's Parish Centre, was Refused. The reasons given by the Council were that:
"1. The proposal would fail to preserve the settings and important views of the Listed Buildings: … St Stephen's Church, … Church Cottages and a 3m high Victorian signpost.
2. The proposed mast and associated cabinets, by virtue of height, siting and bulk, would appear as an undesirable and incongruous focal point in the street scene at a prominent location and would cause unacceptable harm to the character and appearance of the surrounding residential area ..."

To view the submitted drawings and other documents relating to Liverpool planning applications, visit the new
Liverpool LAR (Licensing and Regulations) portal: https://lar.liverpool.gov.uk/planning/index.html?fa=search
and enter the relevant reference (e.g. 21F/1249) into the Application Reference Number box. Then click on the 'Search' button.
Basic information about the application should then appear lower down on the screen, under the following headings:
Application Reference - Application Type - Location Details - Proposal - Ward - Community - Decision - View
Click on the 'View' button to display more details of the application, including the name of the Applicant, the name of the Officer handling the application, and various key dates including Received date, Valid date and Decision Issued date. The submitted Documents are listed, lower down the page. Click on the relevant 'Download' button in order to view a particular document (Look for phrases like Proposed Site Plan, Proposed Elevations, or Design & Access Statement in order to identify the most useful documents).
If a decision has not yet been issued, you can Make a Representation by typing in the appropriate box. Note that you must be 'logged in' (via https://lar.liverpool.gov.uk) in order to submit a representation.

making sure that you quote your name, your postal address and the Application Number.
