The Bridge Inn near Belle Vale, demolished and now Home Bargains store. Although this building dates from 1938, there has been an inn on the site for over 300 years. In the new book ‘Lost Manors’, available now from www.capalettepublishing.co.uk, its history is traced from its beginnings as Little Woolton’s Pinfold House, its renaming to the Bridge Inn in the Victorian era, and its rebuilding by Higson’s Brewery.
