GV II House and shop. Early C19. Shop c.1860’s. Stone with slate roof. House of 2 storeys and 3 bays with cornice, small paned casements and gabled porch with entrance in return. Shop of rock faced stone with ashlar dressings and fishscale slate roof with tile cresting. One storey and attic, canted corner bay with 2 bays to left and one to right. Cornice as house. Windows of 2 lights with small- paned casements and continuous label mould. Entrance has flanking narrow lights and panelled studded sliding doors. Gabled roof dormers.

House, with a re-sited datestone of 1787, and rainwater-head dated 1837. Stone with slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays. 1st floor sill band now mostly cement, and top cornice. Low, sashed windows with glazing bars. 3rd bay has canted bay with small window to front and hipped slate roof. 4th bay has small inserted window to left with datestone in jamb. Signs of blocked 1st floor windows. Entrance in canted porch has glazed doorcase and leaded fanlight. Gabled canopy to street entrance in hall, cross-axial stack. Rear has 2 storey canted bay.

41/1016 Lodge and stable block to Gateacre Grange. 14.3.75. G.V. II

Lodge, stables and coach house. late 1860’s. Probably C. Sherlock. Stone with slate roof, fishscale bands. Building round 3 sides of courtyard with wall and gates to south. Street facade of 6 bays; drip mould over ground floor. Two 2- light ground floor windows and roundels with grilles between. Windows to 1st floor have 3-light casements. End stacks, right return has canted projecting bay with cornice and entrance with later glazed porch. Stable yard has paired windows with sashes to west, 2 carriage doors with flanking entrances and gabled dormers above to north. 2 carriage doors and 3 stable doors to east, right cross axial stack and tall octagonal louvre, to east.
