Joseph Williamson was the enigmatic Liverpool merchant who made underground history in the early nineteenth century by creating a network of rooms and passageways in the sandstone beneath and around his home in Mason Street, off Paddington. Claire Moorhead is a leading member of the Friends of Williamson's Tunnels. She will give us a talk about the progress made over the past several years by the Friends' enthusiastic volunteer teams.
